The newly established RI (Rehabilitation International) academy will host 6 webinars in 2026 in the context of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNCRPD). The webinars will address key areas including:

  • UNCRPD implementation: progress, challenges, and opportunities
  • Evidence-based approaches to rehabilitation and disability support
  • Innovative practices in community-based rehabilitation
  • Accessibility, technology, and assistive solutions
  • Policy development and disability rights advocacy
  • Cross-cultural perspectives on disability and inclusion

The webinars are scheduled/dated on 6 sessions:

  • March 18th 2026: Rehabilitation: a fundamental pillar to implement the UN-CRPD in society
  • April 22nd 2026
  • June 24th 2026
  • August 26t 2026
  • October 28th 2026
  • December 23rd 2026

Context

Rehabilitation International (RI) has recently launched the „Rehabilitation International (RI) Academy“. The RI Academy will be an international learning initiative developed by RI in collaboration with the Institut Supérieur de Rééducation Psychomotrice / Higher Institute for Psychomotor Therapy (ISRP) to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNCRPD).

The RI Academy will be a global plattform for knowledge exchange and professional development in disability rights and rehabilitation. Through expert-led webinars, RI brings together diverse perspectives from around the world to explore critical challenges and innovative solutions in implementing the UNCRPD.
